BASS FISHING EVENT THIS WEEKEND
The second annual Bass Fishing Event is rapidly approaching on June 7th. Everyone is welcome to hit the water early on the 7th in pursuit of bragging rights for another year. Begin fishing at 5:00AM or later and meet at Bryan Waltersdorf's property at 1:00PM to share your exploits. Largest (longest) single bass, small mouth or large mouth wins - this is catch and release so either keep alive in live well or take a picture alongside a tape measure. Live bait is allowed but pride keeps many of us from using it… There will be adult refreshments, soda and lunch following at Bryan's at the southwest corner of the little lake. Please RSVP to Dan Aicher at (262) 966-9712 or Bryan Waltersdorf at (262) 966-0186 with the number of people and whether or not you will join us for lunch.

Many thanks are extended to the following North Lake residents for their generous contribution to the 4th of July Fireworks fund:

Christine & Dan Aicher, Don & Joan Aker, Donna Anderson, Tom & Kathy Bell, Rich Bence, Bob & Kathy Bender, Mike & Sally Berk, Ginny Bowen, Sam & Nancy Bradt, Flint & Elizabeth Bridge, Spencer & Ruth Brunner, Kim & Dan Burkwald, Joe & Pam DeRosa, Chris & Dani Dix, Dan & Elizabeth Doucette, Tom & Carol Ehrsam, Louise Fuhry, Suzanne Harry, Jerry & Judy Heine, Steve & Heidi Jankowski, Brian Kennedy, Marlene King, Evy Krueger, Jeanne Kuelthau, Tom & Sarah Kyle, Dale & Pat Lye, Scott Manning, Ed & Mary McLoone, Mark & Laura Mundt, Roger & Betty Preuss, Aletta Ruesch, Ruth Schmidt, James & Linda Schneider, Schwartzburg, Jim & Stephanie Smith, Mike & Eileen Stadler, Armour & Beverly Swanson, Mark & Cheri Theisen, Bill & Suzanne Timmer, Ken & Pat Van Till, Jim & Ginny Wheeler, Rick & Gail Wheeler, Jim & Marianne Wrocklage.

Our goal is to collect as much or more than the 2002 total of $8,000. As of May 25th we have approximately $3,400 in the fund (not looking good). You can still mail your contributions to the NLYC. Contributors will be recognized in next month's Newsletter as well. REMEMBER, North Lake's fireworks display will be as spectacular as your willingness to financial support it.

Flare orders will not be accepted after June 15th, due to the time needed to purchase and sort them before the holiday. You must pick-up your flare purchase on Saturday, June 28 from 9:00 until 2:00 at the Wreckage's on Hwy 83. Join up with your neighbors to pick them up to save time.

MAROON YOUR PONTOON PARTY
This spring's Pontoon Party will be held on Saturday, June 14 at the sandbar between the lakes. Come dressed as your favorite Gilligan's Island character. Make sure your boat is stocked with your personal beverage of choice and bring an appetizer to share. You never know how long you may be stranded. Please confirm your charter with Kurt & Gina Haenisch at 966-3467 or John Howley at 966-0396. All residents of North Lake are invited, bring along your non-member neighbors for the fun!

2ND ANNUAL LAKE HOUSE TOUR
Get on board for the 2nd Annual Lake House Tour. Participants will be picked up at their piers on July 20th at 3:00 (meet at the Stone's if the weather is not sea worthy). Beverages and hor d'oeuvres will be served on ship as you tour four different lake homes. Space is limited to the first 40 reservations at a cost of $25.00 per person (NLYC members only). This event is a fundraiser with proceeds to go towards NLYC Launch Site Improvement Fund. Please RSVP to Phyllis Stone by July 7. A flyer for this event is enclosed.

50TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER DANCE & PICNIC
Mark your calendars for the 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance and Picnic to be held on August 23 and 24, 2003. The Dinner Dance will celebrate this Anniversary Year and honor Commodore, Lori Schneider. It will be held a Chenequa Country Club with cocktails and appetizers at 6:00, dinner at 7:00 and dancing at 8:00. The following afternoon a picnic will be held at the launch site from noon until 3:00 for families. This is an event not to be missed. A flyer has been enclosed for your reservations.

NLYC CLOTHING SALE
Celebrate the 50th anniversary in style with new NLYC logo clothing. We have something for everyone: hats, BBQ aprons, a tote bag and various shirts. If you missed the Fish Fry or Spring Fling and want to see the goods before buying, call Patty Brink at 966-9624. Everything is in stock so put in your order today and wear it tomorrow. An ORDER FORM is enclosed.

HELP NEEDED FOR BOP'N REGATTAS
Volunteers are still needed for the BOP'N X and Opti Regattas which will be held on North Lake on July 9 (X) and 10 (Opti). Part of the fun is just meeting other people from other lakes as well as your own. So please call Stephanie Smith at 262-797-8111 or email at mrspinballjim@aol.com if you can help out on July 9 with the X BOP'N. For the Opti BOP'N please call Heidi Jankowski at 262-966-0318 or email at heidij@wi.rr.com if you can help out on July 10. They need volunteers in many areas from helping at the launch site, to providing spectators boats and the list goes on. They also need donations of food such as fruit and vegetable trays along with cookies and bars. We have a great reputation for putting on well organized regattas and this is due to all of your participation.

Parking Information: For those who have volunteered at the launch site to help launch boats, serve lunch or drop off food please park your cars on Northwoods Drive WEST of the entrance gate so we have maximum parking space available on-site for off-lake sailors and their trailers. Of course if you don't mind getting parked in and spending the whole day with a great bunch of people, come on in to the launch site area! Pier space will also be very limited, one is reserved for Judges and Water Taxis, the second for spectator boats (who can also taxi sailors).

LADIES LUNCHEON & STYLE SHOW
Save the date for the Ladies Luncheon & Style Show, it will be held on Friday, August 15th at Chenequa Country Club. We are looking for models, if interested call Evy Schneider at 966-3640.

NEW PIER FOR LAUNCHSITE
You may notice a change at the launch site at the end of June. We have purchased a new pier that should be in place in time for the BOP'N regatta in early July. Many thanks to all of you who were so generous at the fundraisers we have had the last two years to raise money for the pier. The pier will be wood, that will age and blend into the natural surroundings at the site. It will be a huge improvement!!
