RULES/REGULATIONS OF THE LAUNCH SITE - 2007

GENERAL CONDITIONS: The launch site is for the use of NLYC members and club functions. Requests for its use must be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. The yacht club may not grant permission for use of the premises for private functions. Commercial activities of all types are prohibited, except for the collection of boat registration fees and race entry fees for regattas.
HOURS: Limited to 7:00 A. M. TO 10:00 P. M.
FOOD: May be served during regattas and social events.
SECURITY: The gate must be locked except during launchings, regattas and social events. The gate key is available to current members of NLYC only.
BOAT LAUNCHING: NLYC members may launch and remove boats in the Spring and Fall and during the boating season for repairs. The launch may NOT be used to launch boats owned by non-members.
PARKING: Parking on the site shall be limited to on-shoulder parking along the roadway. Overflow vehicles shall be parked off the premises. Boat trailers are not to be stored on the yacht club grounds except during regattas.
PICNICS AND GROUP GATHERINGS: Above rules must be followed. In addition: Swimming in the boat ramp area is not permitted. Diving or water skiing from the pier is prohibited. Fishing is prohibited. Dogs or other domestic animals are not allowed on the premises.
SAILING SCHOOL: The club may conduct sailing school from the premises.
MULTI-LAKE REGATTAS:
1. The maximum allowed regattas per year is four.
2. Spectator boats may be launched during regattas.
3. Overnight mooring is allowed for sailboats and spectator boats. The area for mooring is limited to the launch area. Sleeping aboard is prohibited.
4. Sailboats and spectator boats may be stored on the launch site during the regatta.
5. Sailboat launching commences at noon, one day prior to the regatta.
6. Sailboats and spectator boats must be removed from the area by noon of the day following the regatta.
PRIVATE PROPERTY: The yacht club will not be responsible for any private property left on the site.
CLUB PROPERTY: Yacht club property is for NLYC use only and may not be loaned.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN: Certain areas of the site are considered to be "environmentally sensitive". Care must be taken to avoid use of this area.
RESPONSIBILITY: It is the responsibility of each and every member (and their guests) to care for the club property, abide by the club rules and to report any violations to the club officers. Any additions or changes to these regulations should be brought before the NLYC Board of Directors.
